If you are a woman who can become pregnant, should take to you at least with 400 micrograms (or 0.4 magnesium) of folic acid each day. The folic acid, also known under the name of folate, is a B-vitamin which can be found in certain the foods enriched and pillules by vitamin.

If you have enough folic acid in your body when you become pregnant, this vitamin can lower the risk for defects of birth of the brain or spine of your babies . You must take the vitamin before you became pregnant because, before you know are pregnant, the defects of birth could have already formed in your child.

* Take a vitamin with 400 micrograms (0.4 mg) of folic acid (folate) every day. The two tablets of folic acid and multivitamins can be purchased from grocery stores, pharmacies or discount stores.
* OR, every day, eat a bowl of cereal that has 100% of daily requirement of folic acid per serving. (The nutritional information on the cereal box tells you is how much folic acid in each department.)
* AND eat folic acid-rich fruits and vegetables and foods fortified with folic acid. Fruits, orange juice, green leafy vegetables and dried beans, peas, lentils and peanuts have all folic acid. Enriched pasta, rice, bread, flour and added folic acid.

The timing of your menstrual cycle stops for good is called menopause. Most women reach menopause in their late 40s or early 50s.

During the years leading to menopause, levels of two female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, are beginning to change. These changes indicate that your body is ready to stop menstruating. This time leading up to menopause called perimenopause.

Most women begin the perimenopausal between ages 35 and 50. Perimenopausal usually lasts about 5 to 7 years. You can still get pregnant during this time, so you may want to use some method of birth control.

For many women, changing levels of hormones during post perimenopausal cause physical and emotional changes. Some of these changes can be uncomfortable, but there are many ways to relieve discomfort.
